The Wait

Originally Written on Dec 2018

The buzzing sounds of fans up my head,

Suddenly, the engine decides to play dead.

My brain resting on this steel bar,

Can't imagine outside the chair car.

Bags of different brands I see,

All that is to entertain me.

Time never froze,

But an infinitesimally extra pace it did chose.

Faces I've never seen,

Suddenly, turned very keen.

When technology went out of charge,

This small place felt very very large.

And finally, signal did come from the guard,

That is when wind started to slap hard.

The usual nasty noise of train,

Did I cherish like those summer rains.

The wait that began at seven,

Made my home sweet home the new heaven!!!
