A couple of weeks ago, I encountered an issue with my iPhone 13 Pro. I'm writing this post hoping that it may help others who find themselves in a similar situation.
Shortly after updating to iOS 17.6.1, everything seemed fine until I noticed brief flashes of yellow and green on my screen while watching YouTube in my browser. I initially shrugged it off as a browser glitch, but the issue worsened! The screen would intermittently turn fully yellow for a few minutes at a time.
Concerned, I took the phone to the nearest Apple Center in Coimbatore, iPlanet at RS Puram. They conducted a hardware scan, found no immediate issues, and advised me to return if the screen went entirely yellow.
The next day, it did, so I went back. They informed me that the issue was a known manufacturing defect in the iPhone 13 Pro. They offered to replace the screen free of charge—provided there was no physical damage. Thankfully, I’d taken good care of my phone, using a sturdy case and screen protector.
Since I lacked an official Apple receipt, they had to send the phone to an Apple Center in Bangalore for further inspection and replacement. Although the process took about a week, I was able to track everything online and ultimately received a free screen replacement.
If you're facing a similar issue, it's worth getting your phone checked at an Apple Service Center. You may be eligible for a free replacement if it's due to a known defect.
